While I've been away

You might remember from my last post that I warned you I'd be celebrating Thanksgiving with my Out-Laws, who happen to reside in the celebration's natural homeland of America. So for the first time in our lives my lovely fiancée and I packed our bags and headed over to the land of overeating for THE day of overeating.

I spent a depressingly large part of the trip being ill, but didn't let that stop me from enjoying as many of the sights, sounds, and smells available. So, among my experience of note:
  • For my Father-Out-Laws birthday we had dinner in a restaurant much classier than I normally get let into and I experienced my first Kansas City Strip steak. It was incredible.
  • We enjoyed a trip around the wineries on the shore of Seneca Lake, where for a few dollars you can try a few wines from a generally excellent selection. I advise anyone who can to do this, but similarly I advise them to eat plenty before hand and get someone else to drive.
  • We walked the shore of Lake Ontario, before venturing up one of the lakes historic Lighthouses

  • We had Moes. It was Moementous. I love Moes. Sister-Out-Law took me for Birthday Moes (a little early, don't worry there's still time for you to buy me a gift, internet) and it was AMAZING.
  • And we had Thanksgiving Dinner. Featuring the near famous Fried Turkey:

So thank you to my very accommodating hosts for an incredible holiday, thank you to @tkdpah for the photos I stole without consent, and thank you all for your patience while I've been away.
